After graduating from Aberdeen University in 1988, Mike worked for Commercial Union, leaving to join Michael Ambrose Limited as a financial adviser in 1994. He has been a director of all the group’s trading and trust companies since joining the board in 1999 and has a wide range of responsibilities but with the overall objective of helping to continue to drive the Group’s growth in a profitable and ethical manner.
As well as acting as the company’s designated compliance officer, Mike also undertakes HR and supervisory duties and whilst working on client specific affairs, he specialises in all types of pension and investment planning as well as taxation mitigation. He advises individuals, companies, pension schemes and trustees.
